Forward Thinking Freight Management.

Clemenger International Logistics ( CIL )  started in 2008 after the directors of Clemenger International Freight  ( CIF ) embarked on an overseas trip to explore the global trends in Supply Chain Management. After looking at the markets in several Asian , European countries and the USA in late 2007 it became clear to us that importers were looking for their freight provider to extend their services further in the supply chain ex supplier factory to the customer’s ultimate delivery point here in Australia. We researched for many months on setting up a 3PL business and finally embarked on starting in August 2008 with a warehouse of some 3000 m2 in Melbourne based at Laverton North.

In the 3 years since we have expanded this foothold with greater warehousing space in Melbourne   ( currently 7000 m2 ), and warehouses now in Sydney ( 5300 m2 ) and Brisbane ( 3700m2 ). We also have arrangements with partners in Adelaide and Perth therefore covering the major cities in Australia that our customers require. We are sure that these sites will expand further over the coming years.

In this time we have employed professional warehousing /distribution staff beginning with our National Manager Damian Marston. He joined us at the beginning having previously had 20 years in the warehousing, distribution industry. Damian had also been a client some 3 years earlier of CIF and already knew of our professional capabilities in the freight forwarding/ Customs clearance arena. He has always seen this as a great advantage in having a seamless transition of the freight from import cargo to a 3PL business.

We have now developed our IT capabilities enabling us to deal electronically with the large retailers, and their IT requirements including deliveries to their DC’s and stores. Our IT has top class reporting functions. We are fully conversant with delivering the KPI’s that customers are looking for from their 3PL service providers.

CIL  are now handling that full factory to door service that customers, and their customers are looking for, with professional committed staff and the IT solutions to deliver the results people want. This ensures that our customers can feel confident in the movement of their goods in the supply chain and focus on the areas of expertise in their business such as sourcing and selling their goods.
